New building in 2007!

Bryan Equipment Sales, Inc. was founded in 1948 by F. E. Bryan Jr. (Bud). Today, Bryan Equipment has grown to include 125,000 square feet of office and warehouse space. The company markets and distributes STIHL power equipment to servicing retailers. The network consists of Contractor/Supply Houses, Lawn Equipment Dealers, Hardware Stores, Farm Implement and Rental Houses. Bryan Equipment is currently distributing to approximately 1200 customers in six states


F.E Bryan Jr.

F.E. Bryan Jr. graduated from Indiana University in 1934. After college, he went to work for the Mall Tool Company in Chicago, Illinois, in the capacity of Sales Representative. Bud covered a three-state region including Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio. In 1948, the McCulloch Corporation hired him away from the Mall Tool Company. For 19 years, Bryan Equipment distributed McCulloch equipment in the Kentucky, Indiana and Ohio markets. Since 1967, Bryan Equipment has distributed STIHL in these states. West Virginia was added to the Bryan sales territory in 1970, Michigan in 1988 and middle and western Tennessee in 1993.

Rick Bryan III

Rick Bryan, F. E. Bryan JR's son, joined the company as a Sales Representative in 1965. Rick became president in 1974 and chairman in 1991. When Tom Jones became President in 1991, Rick had grown the company to represent 99,000 STIHL units. Tom Jones joined the company in 1984 as General Manager and since succeeding to President in 1991, sales have grown to nearly 300,000 STIHL units.


Rick Bryan IV
Rick Bryan IV joined the company in January of 1993 as applications instructor attaining certification as Master Logger instructor and training over 10,000 individuals over six years. Rick IV represents the third generation of Bryan Family actively involved in the business. Rick is currently President.
